Chatframe

nkChat allows you to modify the chat box. You chan hide parts you don't want to be displayed / don't need. Also you can move the editbox to the top of the chat pane or event have it positioned anywhere on the screen.

Simply type /nkchat to get into the configuration.

Simply hit the [Save] button to apply any settings you have specified.

Timestamp for main chatbox

You can activate the timestamp for all messages of the main chatbox in the settings. If activated the posting time in 24h format will be put in front of erver message going to the main chatbox.

Player information

You can SHIFT + Left Mouse Click on a player name in the chat to get some information about that player:
- Main class
- Main class level
- Sub class
- Sub class level

Hiding standard elements

You can hide the following elements:

- Editbox channel button
- Emote button
- Restore button
- Resize button
- All tabs
- Scroll bar

If you disable the scrollbar the addon will automatically support mouse scrolling in the chat box. In case you choose not to hide the scroll bar, the mouse scrolling can be activated optionally. The addon supports mouse scrolling for up to 3 independent chatboxes

Tab switching

You can switch tabs by simply CTRL + ALT + Left Mouse Click on the chatbox. The addon will cycle through the available tabs. This will help switching tabs if the tabs themselves are hidden.

Editbox options

The edit box can be positioned below the chat frame (standard), above the chat frame or anywhere on the screen. If the editbox is positioned on top or below the chatframe it will be sized automatically to the size of the chatframe. If you choose to position it freely on the screen you can specify the exact X / Y position as well as the desired width of the edtibox.

Chatbox visibility

You can specify the background alpha of the chatboxes in the settings. If you don't like to see any background (for example if you use custom art) then you simply put the slider all to the left. Moving the slider all to the right will make the background intransparent. This setting will affect all chatboxes on the screen.

Additionally you can specifiy the alpha level of the chatbox text while the mouse is / is not positioned over it. You can do so in the configuration and settings from invisible to fully visible are supported. This functionality suppports up to 3 independent chatboxes.

Chatbox sizing and positioning

Last but not least you can specify the exact height, width and position of the chatbox. Please note that you cannot go below 280x120 as this is prevented by the standard UI. This functionality only supports the main chatbox. Additional undocked chatboxes need to be positioned and sized manually.
